Club Accreditation

Become a Champion Parents Accredited Club
Better Support. Better Sport.

Parents are one of the biggest influences on a young person’s sporting experience yet they can begin that journey with very little guidance about the role they are about to play.

We educate coaches to coach. We train officials to officiate. We put safeguarding standards in place to protect young people. Champion Parents Accreditation brings that same commitment to supporting and educating parents.

By becoming a Champion Parents Accredited Club, you are making a visible commitment to creating a positive sporting environment where parents understand their role, young athletes are supported to enjoy and develop through sport, and coaches and volunteers have a clear framework to help bring everyone together.
This isn’t about telling parents how to parent. It’s about giving them the knowledge, confidence and practical tools to encourage without creating pressure, navigate the highs and lows of sport, and know when to step in and when to step back.

Parent education shouldn’t be an intervention. It should be part of joining the sport.

 Parent Education From Day One

When a child joins a sports club, their parent begins a sporting journey too.

That’s why Champion Parents Accreditation starts at the very beginning.

As part of joining a Champion Parents Accredited Club, parents are given access to a short 20-minute Champion Parents introduction, sharing practical top tips to help them understand the important role they play and how they can positively support their child’s experience in sport. They are then invited to take the Champion Parents Pledge, making a shared commitment to positive parent support.

The aim is simple: give parents the right information before they need it.
Too often, parent education is introduced as a response to a problem and when pressure has built, expectations have become difficult, or relationships between parents, coaches and clubs are already under strain.

We Want To Change That.

By introducing parent education from day one, clubs can set positive expectations early, help parents understand their role, and create a shared culture around how young athletes are supported.

This isn’t an intervention. It isn’t something to introduce when things go wrong. It’s simply part of joining the club.

The Champion Parents Pledge

At the heart of the accreditation is the Champion Parents Pledge- a shared commitment between the club and its parents to put the young person’s sporting experience first.

Parents are invited to take the pledge as a positive statement of how they will support their child’s journey: encouraging rather than pressuring, supporting learning through mistakes and setbacks, respecting the people who make sport possible, and helping to create an environment where young people are free to enjoy, develop, compete and grow.

The pledge gives clubs something simple but powerful: a shared standard that everyone can understand and get behind. Rather than waiting for problems to arise, it sets the tone from the very beginning.

One simple pledge.
A positive difference across the whole club.

More positive parent support

A better experience for the young athlete.

Stronger club culture.

Greater enjoyment and long-term participation.

Choose the Right Level for Your Club

One standard. Three levels of support.

Every club is different. That’s why Champion Parents Accreditation offers three levels of annual membership, giving clubs the flexibility to choose the level of parent education, engagement and ongoing support that works for them.

Whichever option you choose, your club becomes part of a shared commitment to better parent support and receives the core foundations needed to start embedding positive parent education into the sporting journey.

And it’s not just about supporting new parents. Existing club parents can also access our three progressive parent education programmes- Strong Start, Growth Zone and Performance Edge at discounted rates or completely free, depending on your club’s membership package. Together, these programmes provide ongoing guidance and support as young athletes develop, helping parents navigate the different stages, experiences and challenges that arise throughout their child’s sporting journey.

From the Champion Parents Pledge and accredited club status, through to ongoing parent education, resources, engagement insights, live support and club reviews, you can choose the level that best fits your club today and grow your support as your needs develop.

For NGBs & Associations

Parents are central to the sporting experience — but parent education is still too often left to chance.

Across a national network, that can mean vastly different expectations, messages and levels of support from one club to the next. And when parents aren’t given the right guidance from the outset, the impact can be felt by athletes, coaches, volunteers and clubs.

Champion Parents Accreditation gives NGBs and Associations the framework to change that.

It creates a clear, consistent standard for parent education across your sport -giving clubs the structure and resources they need, while giving parents the knowledge and confidence to positively support their child’s sporting journey.
Because if we want better environments for young people to develop, enjoy their sport and fulfil their potential, supporting the adults around them cannot be optional.

It needs to be part of the standard.
